About the Role
As a Remote Special Education Teacher with VocoVision, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality educational and psychological support to K-12 students in West Virginia. This is a 1099 contract position offering consistent hours, comprehensive support, and a toolkit equipped with the necessary materials to excel in your role. Our ideal candidate is someone who not only possesses the requisite qualifications and experience but is also adept at leveraging technology to foster engaging and effective learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Virtual Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for K-12 students to identify their needs and develop targeted support plans.
- IEP Development and Implementation: Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students, ensuring a cohesive and supportive network.
- Counseling and Intervention: Provide individual and group counseling, consultations, and crisis intervention services as needed, utilizing teletherapy tools to deliver these services effectively.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor student progress, adjusting support plans and interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification: Active teaching certification in West Virginia.
