We're now seeking an experienced Identity Governance Support Engineer to join our team in a hybrid or remote capacity.

About Our Identity Governance Team and the Role

Our Identity Governance team is responsible for managing and maintaining our OpenText Identity Governance and Identity Management systems. As an Identity Governance Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness and continued development of our identity governance environment. This involves performing recurring system administration tasks, providing primary support for OpenText Identity Governance, and leading periodic access review exercises. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing automation and role-based access solutions to meet existing and new requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform recurring system administration tasks, including serving as the primary support for OpenText Identity Governance and leading periodic access review exercises.
  • Provide secondary support for OpenText eDirectory, Identity Management, and Access Manager.
  • Support the existing enterprise IAM program, recognizing opportunities for improvement and innovation as needed.
  • Design and implement automation and role-based access solutions to meet existing and new requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to help with expectation setting, training, and awareness.
  • Promote consistency and improvement in our processes and be an inspiring leader in Identity Governance.
  • Align initiatives with business objectives of the company and provide tangible value to the organization.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline OR at least 7 years of relevant IT work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with OpenText (formerly NetIQ/Microfocus) Identity Management and Identity Governance products.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise directories (eDirectory and Active Directory) including access management, account security, directory connectivity, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Identity Governance principles, best practices, and business application.
  • Experience with internal and external access review, audit, and compliance exercises.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows 2019/2022 Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of key scripting languages, including Python, BASH, and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of project management and ITIL fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
