Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Teacher at Childcare Network, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for our students. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Lead Teacher in providing high-quality care and education to children
  • Communicating daily with families regarding student progress and needs
  • Developing strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to encourage parent and community engagement
  • Maintaining a high-quality standard of care by adhering to licensing, quality rated, and accreditation guidelines, as well as company standards
  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks for children
  • Utilizing our science-based, proprietary curriculum to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs
  • Keeping daily records, including attendance, child portfolios, and USDA documentation
  • Partnering with team members and leadership to achieve center goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for individuals with a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a nurturing environment for young children. To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a childcare or educational setting
  • A strong understanding of child development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children
