About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team in Little Rock, AR, working remotely to support our center's success. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our students, fostering meaningful relationships with families, and contributing to the overall quality of care provided by our center.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting classroom that promotes a positive learning environment.
 - Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, needs, and daily activities to encourage partnership and support.
 - Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote parent and community engagement.
 - Adhere to all minimum licensing, quality-rated, and accreditation guidelines, as well as company standards, to maintain a high-quality standard of care.
 - Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, following our nutrition guidelines and best practices.
 - Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create engaging lesson plans tailored to each child's developmental needs.
 - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other required records.
 - Partner with team members and leadership to achieve center goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families.
 - A positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity.
 - Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with coworkers, parents, and children.
 - A HS Diploma or GED, with further education in early childhood education or a related field being an asset.
 - The ability to pass the state-required criminal background check.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:
- Previous experience working in early childhood education, preferably in an assistant teacher or similar role.
 - Knowledge of our proprietary curriculum and experience working with similar educational frameworks.
 - First aid and CPR certification, with the ability to maintain current certification throughout employment.
