Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Math Instructor/Tutor to join our team at Mathnasium of Newark, CA. As a Math Instructor/Tutor, you will play a critical role in creating an engaging and productive learning experience for our students. Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, using the Mathnasium Method and terminology
• Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, including our proprietary software and teaching practices
• Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using the Mathnasium Method and individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and support
• Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, ensuring a safe and productive space for our students
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of our center

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A passion for math and working with students, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Exceptional math competency, with a strong understanding of math concepts through at least Algebra I
