Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Inbound Call Center Representative to join our Virtual Front Office team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, handling incoming calls, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and our medical practices. Key Responsibilities
- Manage large volumes of inbound calls, delivering exceptional customer service and support to patients and medical practices
 - Build trust with patients through empathetic and personalized conversations, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a professional and timely manner
 - Take ownership of patient needs, identifying and resolving problems through effective research and exploration of solutions
 - Implement protocols for urgent call situations, ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken
 - Maintain accurate and thorough records, entering pertinent data into the Athena medical system
 - Meet performance metrics, goals, and outcomes in a high-performing team-based setting, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and excellence
 - Collaborate with partner teams to stay up-to-date on process changes, resolve cross-functional issues, and contribute to process improvements
 - Work closely with the call center manager, receiving regular feedback and ongoing development to enhance skills and knowledge
 
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1+ years of customer service/call center experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
 - 1+ years of customer service experience (preferred within a call center or healthcare field)
 - Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
 - Ability to handle calls with professionalism, sensitivity, and diplomacy under pressure
 - Independent, motivated, and innovative self-starter with a strong work ethic
 - Confident and flexible, with a positive customer service attitude
 - Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred)
 - Strong ability to multitask in a high-call-volume setting, with a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Athena Database software
 - Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations
 - Previous experience in a remote or virtual work environment
 - Certifications or training in customer service, call center operations, or a related field
