Job Responsibilities
As an Inbound Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Serving as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner
- Collecting and inputting patient data into the e-Intake system with accuracy and attention to detail
- Verifying product and service details according to regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance and quality
- Providing basic technical assistance and education regarding CPAP equipment to patients and caregivers
- Managing high-volume inbound phone calls for initial intake processes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and productivity
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience in a team-oriented environment, preferably in customer service or a related field
- Strong background in customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and internet skills, along with passing a typing test to ensure data entry accuracy
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (when applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:
- Experience in the medical field, particularly in administrative record management or customer service
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME), including products and services
- Familiarity with billing reimbursement and insurance policies, including Medicare and Medicaid
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficient in medical terminology, with the ability to understand and communicate complex medical concepts
