About the Role: Intervention Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Intervention Specialist who is not only passionate about special education but also committed to delivering high-quality educational services. As an Intervention Specialist with VocoVision, you will have the unique opportunity to work with students in grades K-8, focusing on SDI minutes with Math & Literacy goals. Your role will involve working one-on-one or in small groups with assigned students, providing personalized support and interventions tailored to their specific needs. This is a full-time position that offers the flexibility of working from the comfort of your own home, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students in grades K-8, focusing on Math and Literacy skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student performance and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, interventions, and communications with parents and educators.

Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a school setting, preferably in special education.
  • Necessary state credentials for Ohio, ensuring you are fully qualified to work as an Intervention Specialist in the state.
  • The ability to pass a tech screening, demonstrating your proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for education.
  • A strong understanding of special education principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in special education or a related field.
