What You'll Do

As a Junior Test Prep Instructor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching engaging and impactful in-person lessons using MasteryPrep's curriculum for standardized exams like the ACT and SAT.
  • Inspiring and motivating students with dynamic and interactive presentations that bring test prep content to life.
  • Covering a variety of subject areas, focusing on specific strategies that are proven to help students succeed.
  • Traveling to various high schools in your area for in-person instruction, with all travel accommodations provided by MasteryPrep.

Requirements

To be successful as a Junior Test Prep Instructor, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Current Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university program (undergraduate or graduate -- all majors).
  • Standardized Test Scores: Minimum ACT score of 26 or SAT score of 1200.
  • Engaging Presentation Style: Engaging and dynamic presentation style, comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Positive Attitude and Enthusiasm: Positive attitude, enthusiasm for education, and a desire to make a difference.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Availability: Availability to attend training sessions starting in October (paid) and deliver instruction starting in January/February.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel locally for in-person instruction.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: A valid U.S. driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Residency: Currently residing in TX, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, NC or SC.
