Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and support to students in understanding chemistry concepts, analyzing assignments, and interpreting class materials.
• Assist students in developing critical thinking, scientific communication, and problem-solving skills.

Essential Qualifications

• High School Graduate, Equivalent, or Current Running Start Student.
• Basic computer competency.
• Applicants need to meet at least one set of course qualifications:
  • Inorganic Chemistry: Completion of CHEM 141/151, CHEM 142/152, and CHEM 143/153 or equivalent courses with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or better.
  • Organic Chemistry: Completion of CHEM 241/251, CHEM 242/252, and CHEM 243/253 or equivalent courses with an average decimal grade of 3.5 or better.
• Reference from an instructor or professor if you are a current Olympic College student.

• College teaching or previous tutoring experience.
• Demonstrated excellence in Chemistry.
