Job Type: Contract, 3+ months

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00/Hr.

    Shift Structure:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Hybrid: 4 days On-site, 1 day remote (WFH)

    Job Summary:
  • This position will support the company’s Procurement Operations as an interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders to help: implement the Procurement system, train users, execute procurement operations and tactical work requiring management of stakeholders' requests, develop master service agreements, statements of work, supply base research, and supporting the RFx process. The position will include knowledge of procurement policies and will guide stakeholders on agreement templates, preferred suppliers and cross divisional leverages. This position is also expected to be a key link among site procurement teams, the global procurement organization, and global category managers.
    About the Role:
  • Manage MSA/SOWs/RFI's/Ordering documents. Assist with supplier Identification and selection.
  • Maintains good relations with internal and external customers by ensuring professional behavior consistent with the company’s policies and practices. Must work effectively with the system end users by processing their inquiries in a timely manner
  • Proactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels
  • Primary point of contact for buyers, end users and suppliers in case of eProcurement system questions
  • Develops business relationship with suppliers to preserve the company’s good business reputation while still obtaining competitive prices
  • Lead resolution on issues and invoice errors
  • PO change management and communicate trends of changes
  • Resolves complaints and disputes between requestors, purchasing, receiving, vendors, and any other applicable stakeholders
  • Help support eProcurement platform: maintenance of catalogs, availability, and visibility of data to end users, user profile, site account information (account codes, rules, and roles)
  • Provide on-going training support to buyers, users, and stakeholders
  • Key resource for eProcurement and master data improvement projects such as collection and centralization of supplier data, managing supplier setup, and change processes
  • Identifies and elevates key risks and issues, with mitigation plans
  • Participates in data tracking, analysis, business case development, and reporting to include scorecard, market, and supplier assessments
  • Supports ad hoc analysis and delivery of insights from the analysis to team management
  • Complies with applicable antitrust and other purchasing-related laws and regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations for government contracts.
  • Complies with applicable corporate policies and procedures, and FDA/ISO/SOX regulations pertaining to the purchasing function, including the proper training of personnel
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
    Qualifications and Skills:
  • Completed Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or other technical field
  • Master’s Degree a plus
  • Certification from ISM or APICS is preferred
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma manufacturing concepts is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a buyer in a regulated environment is highly desired.
  • Broad experience with ERP software
  • Strong verbal and written customer services skills, including engagement with management if required
  • Procurement skills including contracting, negotiations, and supplier relationship management
  • Experience achieving KPIs such as savings target, cycle time reductions, etc.
  • Ability to identify a problem, work with extended team to frame it, determine root cause, drive to potential solutions, and build and present a business case
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
