Inside Sales Rep II (Remote)
Summary of Job Duties: Under the general direction of the Head of Sales, the Inside Sales Representative will engage in dynamic phone-based sales activities with retail health food accounts, driving revenue growth for our portfolio of manufactured and distributed brands. This role requires a proactive approach to account management, collaboration with field sales representatives, and the ability to cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Specific Job Duties
• Proactively engage with retail health food accounts through outbound and inbound calls to promote and sell manufactured and distributed brands, leveraging sales techniques and best practices.
• Handle incoming orders, upselling where possible to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with Field Sales Representatives to develop strategic growth plans, execute promotions, and drive account-level business growth.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities by conducting targeted internet searches, leveraging directories, and utilizing trade publications.
• Build lasting rapport with customers, educating them on product offerings, addressing objections, and confidently closing sales.
• Maintain an organized call schedule, ensuring timely and productive appointment calls.
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge seminars to stay informed and enhance performance.
• Adhere to all company and departmental policies, ensuring consistent standards of performance and conduct.
• Support marketing initiatives by implementing campaigns and driving promotional activities within accounts.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Threshold Management
Minimum Qualifications Required
• At least 2 years of proven experience in inside sales, phone-based sales, or telemarketing.
• Demonstrated success in negotiation and closing deals, supported by prior work experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
Skills And/or Training Desired
• Nutritional background a plus (knowledge of vitamins, dietary supplements, and/or natural products industry)
• Project management and/or project team experience working within cross-functional project teams.
• Sales Savvy: Results-driven with a tenacious approach to meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Customer-Centric: Strong ability to build rapport and educate customers on product benefits and solutions.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective account growth strategies in collaboration with Field Representatives.
