Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the District-approved curriculum, adapting to the unique needs of each pupil
 - Provide individualized and small group instruction, translating lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences
 - Establish and maintain high standards of pupil behavior, creating an effective learning atmosphere that promotes academic and social growth
 - Evaluate pupils' progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports in a timely manner
 - Identify pupil needs, making referrals and developing strategies for individual education plans as necessary
 - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, using a variety of methods including Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, emails, and conferences
 - Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars to stay current with best teaching practices
 - Integrate technology into instruction, using a range of digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning
 - Perform other duties of a similar nature or level, as required
 
Essential Qualifications
- MN K-6 Elementary Education or Birth-Grade 3 Early Childhood Education licensure
 - Proven experience in teaching Kindergarten or related grade levels
 - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans, adapting to the needs of diverse learners
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community
 - Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field
 - Experience with technology integration, including learning management systems and digital tools
 - Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning, including differentiated instruction and project-based learning
 - Experience working with diverse populations, including English language learners and students with special needs
