Job Overview
As an ABA/Autism Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work directly with children and families, implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum
 - Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions and maintain accurate records
 - Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans as directed by a BCBA
 - Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
 - Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
 - Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity
 
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
 - Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or equivalent experience in a related field
 - 1-year ABA Experience, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
 - Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
 - Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification, or willingness to obtain certification
 - Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
 - University partnerships, supervision, practicum, and mentoring experience, or interest in pursuing a career as a BCBA
