About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and skilled Dance Instructor to join our community center team and provide exceptional dance education to students of all ages and levels. As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various dance styles, choreographing routines, and guiding students in their dance journey. Your role will be instrumental in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and a passion for dance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dance Instruction: Conduct dance classes and lessons in various dance styles, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, or ballroom.
  • Develop Lesson Plans: Design and implement progressive and engaging lesson plans that align with the skill levels and age groups of students.
  • Choreography: Create and teach dance routines, ensuring they are age-appropriate, challenging, and showcase students' abilities.
  • Technique Training: Instruct students on proper dance techniques, footwork, body posture, and movements to improve their dance skills.
  • Musicality and Rhythm: Teach students to dance in sync with the music, develop rhythm, and understand the dynamics of different musical genres.
  • Provide Individual Feedback: Offer personalized feedback and corrections to students to help them refine their dance techniques and performance.
  • Prepare for Performances: Prepare students for dance recitals, competitions, and performances, ensuring they are well-rehearsed and confident.
