Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced High School Science Tutor to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Science Tutor, you will play a vital role in addressing the learning loss that has resulted from the COVID pandemic. You will work with high school students in a face-to-face school setting, providing targeted support in Science to help them catch up and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities

• Instruct Science to small groups of students in multiple grade levels, using a prescribed curriculum and the gradual release model of instruction
• Deliver designated instructional models to eligible students, utilizing company-designed materials and educational strategies
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans, ensuring that each student receives tailored support
• Supervise students at all times, including escorting them safely to and from classrooms/learning stations
• Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and parent and classroom teacher communication forms
• Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences, maintaining open communication with parents and guardians
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies
• Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
• Teaching Certificate preferred, but not required
• Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience, particularly in Science
• Willingness and ability to teach Science to various upper grade levels
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred
• A passion for helping students and making a positive impact on their lives

• Familiarity with the gradual release model of instruction and company-designed materials
