Job Summary

As a Senior Full Stack Data Engineer at Nike, you will be responsible for designing and building infrastructure, installations, and extensive libraries to support research products. You will develop and implement product strategies in collaboration with business and technology partners, anticipating, identifying, and solving problems related to data management to improve data quality. This includes cleaning, preparing, and optimizing data for consumption, as well as solving complex data problems and conducting root cause analysis programs to effectively resolve product and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data systems to execute financial transactions, develop and implement complex business rules for cost allocation, and create and integrate data with other products and customer characteristics to support financial optimization and in-depth analysis.
  • Develop financial analysis capabilities that will transform Nike to meet the challenges of the mixed retail business in the future.
  • Lead the implementation of new data management projects and modify existing data structures if necessary.
  • Develop a system for continuous integration, test development, and production deployment.
  • Teach, develop, and lead other data engineers in creating standard processes that can be adopted in the team.
  • Analyze and profile data in designing scalable solutions.
  • Lead collaborative analysis of design, code, test plans, and implementation datasets performed by other data engineers to support the development of data engineering principles.

Who You'll Work With

You will be part of the Profit and Margin Analysis Team, working closely with the broader Product Team to develop strategies that deliver technical insights and align with customer expectations. You will also collaborate with Chief Financial Officers from various functional areas within the headquarters and geos to measure financial performance and develop product and financial strategies.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field of study; or any appropriate combination of experience, education, and training.
  • 3+ years of professional experience required.
  • Prior experience with financial data and systems.
  • Advanced experience building high-performance, scalable, real-time pool solutions in the cloud.
  • Strong experience with Python, Spark, Airflow, etc.
  • Strong experience with cloud data stacks (AWS, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Ability to create complex data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of technical solutions and design.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience working in end-to-end solution design.
  • Experience with relational SQL.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Shell, Python.
  • Experience with source control tools such as GitHub and related development processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data engineering principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
