Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network systems, including Cisco hardware
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN infrastructure, testing, and designing software
• Collaborate with service providers to restore service and minimize business disruption
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network systems, including incident reports and resolution steps
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers, teams, and other support personnel
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network issues outside of regular business hours
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve network systems and processes
• Work with vendors to procure necessary equipment for network systems
• Identify, analyze, and resolve network switching and transmission system issues
• Develop and maintain a proactive daily task list to ensure network systems are running smoothly

Essential Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a support-related field or network administration
• Fundamental understanding of Ethernet, Fiber, Frame Relay, AVPN, ISDN, Dedicated IP, and Routing protocols
• Basic knowledge of network equipment and software, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers
• Fundamental understanding of subnetting, VLANs, and network geography
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, phone etiquette, and customer service skills
• Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues
• Experience or understanding of ITIL/Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Request processes
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and positive, mature, professional demeanor
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Process-oriented, with an understanding of the benefits of processes and the need for compliance
• Ability to explain technical terms to non-technical audiences
• Proactive and innovative, with a strong desire to continuously improve
• Collaborative and team-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
• Great understanding of business warehouse and distribution center operations
• Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools to aid in issue detection and resolution
• CCNA certification or studying for CCNA
• Networking degree
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Google Apps Script, etc.)
