Our team of experts is passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive business growth, improve customer experiences, and stay ahead of the competition. **Job Summary** As a Principal Engineer – Data Analytics & Data Science at blithequark, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering high-impact projects that drive business growth. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data analytics and science solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business decisions, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead and coach a team of data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to deliver high-impact projects that drive business growth * Develop and implement data analytics and science solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders * Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using cloud-based technologies such as ADLS, Purplish blue Databricks, and Delta-Lake * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data researchers, business analysts, data engineers, and IT experts, to deliver comprehensive data solutions * Develop and maintain data models, data visualizations, and reporting dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and D3.js * Ensure data quality, security, and governance by implementing data validation, data cleansing, and data encryption techniques * Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their relevance to our business * Develop and maintain documentation for data analytics and science processes, data models, and data visualizations * Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven strategies that drive business growth **Essential Qualifications** * 15+ years of active experience in data analytics and science jobs, with a strong background in data engineering, data science, and data analysis * 5+ years of experience in leadership or senior roles, with a proven track record of guiding and leading cross-functional teams * 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies, including ADLS, Purplish blue Databricks, Flash, Purplish blue Neural connection, Universe DB, DBT, and other large data innovations * Strong expertise in data analysis tools, languages, ML, and systems, including Conos, PowerBI, SQL, Python, R, and Tableau * Experience working with cloud stages, including AWS, Purplish blue, or Google Cloud, to design and execute adaptable and productive data analytics and science solutions * Strong understanding of Lakehouse design standards, combining the best of data lakes and data warehouses for powerful and adaptable data management * High-level SQL skills, with a strong understanding of social databases and business data storage to write complex SQL queries against different data sources * Experience managing high-volume and high-speed data streams, and designing systems that can handle the demands of real-time or near-real-time analysis * Experience in shaping the essential vision for data analytics and science drives within an organization * Proven ability to drive growth, adapt to emerging technologies, and execute industry best practices **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's or Ph.D. degree in Software engineering, Informatics, Data science, or related technical discipline * Relevant industry certifications are a plus * Experience in retail, manufacturing, e-commerce, or supply chain management **Compensation and Benefits** * Competitive salary range: $160,000 - $230,000 * Bonus and restricted stock unit eligibility * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, hearing aid, pharmacy, social well-being, employee assistance, healthcare reimbursement account, dependent care assistance plan, short-term disability and long-term disability insurance, AD&D insurance, extra security, 401(k), stock purchase plan to eligible employees **How to Apply** If you are a seasoned data expert with a passion for driving business growth through data-driven insights, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
