Sr Manager People Success Business Partner Field-South Central
About the position
Responsibilities
• Develops and executes best practices to promote employee engagement and to enable a high-performing workforce to contribute to the company's strategic growth and business objectives
• Role models behaviors aligned to a value based, guest-centric, high performing culture with an emphasis on embracing our competencies and delivering with subject matter expertise
• Educates and models Ulta Beauty's DEI values and initiatives
• Serves as a strategic partner to the Regional Vice President (RVP), advancing talent development, engagement, and core PS initiatives for the field organization
• Support talent management in the field to include the performance review process, succession planning, leadership assessments and internal talent movement
• Provides guidance to the RVP/DMs in PS matters for appropriate action and partnership
• Collaborates with the Associate Care and Support Team to address associate concerns
• Leverages company reporting and current trends to make timely recommendations that mitigate risk and positively impact the business or associates
• Regularly collaborates on projects within the People Success function and cross functionally to support of the enterprise's strategic goals
• Diagnoses business challenges and identifies solutions for increased effectiveness
• Partner with the RVP to coach and develop field leaders to ensure they are building culture action plans that best align to Ulta Beauty's people strategies and business initiatives
• Lead Succession Planning and Talent Review processes, talent calibration, culture survey action planning, goal setting and rollout, performance review consultation, and IDP creation and execution
• Provide talent consultation for career development and growth
• Leads the process for all internal movement for field organization to ensure consistency and inclusivity in the process
• Guide compensation decisions for leadership hires, promotions, and market adjustments
• Support business leaders to ensure employee processes, policies and practices enable employee engagement and leadership effectiveness
Requirements
• 5+ years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Must have experience in talent acquisition, talent management, PS strategy, succession planning, leadership development, PS operations and driving change
• Ability to successfully work under pressure, handle multiple highly sensitive issues and manage competing priorities while being agile and adaptable
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; leader with dedication to the ongoing development of the company and PS department
• Possess both strategic thinking capability and 'hands on' HR plan implementation experience
• Strong influence and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with field leaders at all levels to assess overall leadership capability
• Ability to think strategically, synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic PS solutions that are forward thinking and growth oriented
• Resilience to work within a complex organization and find creative solutions
• Proven collaboration skills with the ability to gain consensus through personal influence
• Demonstrated ability to invite diverse perspectives, promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to travel within assigned markets and to the corporate office as needed
