New Growth Development Manager - West (Remote Opportunity)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop strategic alliances with assigned lower producing agencies, and Independent Consultants.
• Leverage preferred relationships of Apple Leisure Group to gain commitment, incremental revenue growth with travel agencies.
• Utilize a consultative sales approach to match the needs of the agency with the product offering of Apple Leisure Group.
• Gain revenue commitments with travel agencies for the appropriate brand(s). Execute an implementation plan with agencies to realize committed revenue.
• Maintain engagement plans for all opportunity accounts.
• Create strategic ways to grow engagement and build trust in an effort to shift business to ALG Vacations.
• Increase and promote distribution through VAX advisor travel booking platform in line with established goals.
• Represent Apple Leisure Group at events when needed (and occasionally outside territory) to cultivate new business opportunities and gain new revenue commitments.
• Achieve sales targets by managing territory effectively and growing the accounts with the biggest opportunities.
• Create brand loyalty through the use of key tools such as joint marketing plans, agency education, provide marketing tools to agents, product differentiation, and value proposition of booking brand.
• Document all sales activity in reporting tool.
• Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and in meetings.
• Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
• Attend Weekly team calls with Director designed to make a strategic impact on growth and development of the team and accounts.
• Work alongside Regional Director to ensure key messages are being communicated and dealt with the accounts.
• Attend roadmap calls with director weekly to focus on personal strategic development for future growth.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with degrees in business, marketing, communications or finance preferred.
• Five or more years of related experience in sales or the travel industry.
• Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background.
• Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Smartsheet.
• Experience with SalesForce.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally by plane and car - 20%.
• Data Analytics - must be able to understand reports and be able to interpret data to provide effective solutions.
• Must have the ability to telecommute and be comfortable working independently.
• Sales and customer service skills - necessary to be able to provide the best experience for advisors.
