About the Role:
MED-EL is looking for an Audiologist who is passionate about providing care and support for patients navigating, adjusting, and living with an implantable device. This role will provide consultative services to support implant clinics and patients with support and care leading to optimal outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Primary US and Canadian contact for inquires surrounding cochlear, middle ear, and bone conduction implant and devices, serving both patients and professionals.
• Provide back-up support to US and Canadian clinical field staff.
• Perform Remote Speech Processor Loading
• Assist with on-site clinical training of US staff and customers.
• Collaborate with internal staff members including Insurance Support Services, Customer Account Services, Accounting, Product Control, Order Fulfillment, and Sales teams to help maintain account relationships.
• Provide OTOPLAN on Demand services, including but not limited to, receiving and analyzing scans, creating and distributing reports.
Requirements:
• Confidence, patience, politeness, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with demanding situations.
• Proven analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact collaboratively and professionally during interactions with staff, customers, or public while representing MED-EL.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate concisely.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple time sensitive tasks.
• Desire to provide support through education and empowerment.
Position Qualifications:
• Doctorate of Audiology or master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited University program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
• Experience with cochlear implants is a plus.
• Experience with MED-EL cochlear implants is a plus.
• Experience with hearing instruments fitting software.
• Experience with connectivity technology a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Ability to show proficiency in analyzing MRI and CT images.
• Must be located in MST or PST
• Working hours are 9-5:30 PST
