We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Dental Assistant to join our prestigious Faculty Group Dental Practice (FGDP) team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced dentists in a state-of-the-art facility, providing a wide range of dental treatments and procedures to our diverse patient population. As a Dental Assistant at UCLA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and efficiency of our practice. We are looking for an individual with exceptional technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the oral health of our community. Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient visits. Take and develop patient x-rays as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Assist with scheduling and managing patient appointments. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and education. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and welcoming attitude towards patients and colleagues. Uphold the values and reputation of the UCLA School of Dentistry. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to dental practice. Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. Assist in training and mentoring new staff members. Attend and participate in team meetings and continuing education programs.
