As a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Controller, you will be an integral part of our financial team, leveraging your expertise in QuickBooks Online, multi-company management, and bilingual capabilities to drive our financial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 5-6 company files in QuickBooks Online, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance.
 - Process multi-state sales tax using Avalara, staying up-to-date with changing tax requirements.
 - Oversee the integration of Shopify and Fishbowl inventory systems, optimizing inventory management.
 - Run payroll through ADP, including compliance monitoring for breaks and lunch, to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
 - Prepare financial reports for insurance providers, demonstrating your ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.
 - Process accounts payable, prepare approval lists, and manage accounts receivable and collections, showcasing your organizational skills.
 - Handle Spanish-language financial communications with Latin American clients, utilizing your bilingual skills to build strong relationships.
 - Develop and maintain financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), driving process improvements and efficiency.
 - Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial close.
 
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with a strong background in financial management.
 - Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online multi-company management, with the ability to navigate complex financial data.
 - Experience with Avalara, Shopify, and Fishbowl inventory systems, demonstrating your adaptability and technical skills.
 - Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
 - Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and ADP platform, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
 - Experience with multi-state sales tax requirements, staying up-to-date with changing tax regulations.
 - Proven track record of developing and implementing SOPs, driving process improvements and efficiency.
 - Excellent organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

 - Knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting, demonstrating your ability to drive business growth.
