About the Role: Part-time HR Assistant
We're on the hunt for a proactive and people-oriented Part-time HR Assistant to join our growing team. As a key member of our HR department, you'll work closely with our Human Resources Manager to source top talent, facilitate the hiring process, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process.
- Conduct candidate interviews, assessing their skills, experience, and fit for the role.
- Onboard new team members, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to excel in their positions.
- Leverage social media networks (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook) to identify and connect with potential candidates, expanding our talent pool.
- Review online portfolios and resumes to pre-screen candidates, ensuring they meet the requirements for the role.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager to identify the specific needs and requirements for each position, tailoring our recruitment strategy accordingly.
- Send targeted recruiting emails and follow up with candidates, maintaining a high level of engagement throughout the hiring process.
- Develop and maintain a network of potential candidates, fostering relationships and staying top of mind for future opportunities.
- Log candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other internal databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Proactively source potential hires, utilizing creative strategies to attract top talent.
- Measure and report on recruiting metrics, such as source of hire and time-to-fill, providing valuable insights to inform our recruitment strategy.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
- Familiarity with social networks, professional sites, and resume databases, allowing you to effectively leverage these tools in our recruitment efforts.
- Fast computer typing skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
- Basic knowledge of labor laws, enabling you to navigate the complexities of employment regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Good time-management skills, allowing you to work efficiently and effectively in a part-time capacity.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective collaboration with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
