About the Role
We're offering a contract position for 6 months, with the flexibility of working remotely from the USA. As a Patient Recruitment Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and success of Accellacare, our organization dedicated to clinical research. Your primary responsibility will be to encourage patients to participate in clinical research studies, ensuring the advancement of medical science and the development of new treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen potential study participants according to protocol inclusion and exclusion criteria by asking study-specific questions.
 - Review, enter, and edit patient information into clinical trial management software, ensuring data accuracy and up-to-dateness.
 - Book patients into site schedulers, maintaining accurate and current entries.
 - Read and understand the purpose and inclusion/exclusion criteria for each protocol, staying updated on clinical trials and neighboring locations.
 - Respond to all leads within a 24-hour time period, providing timely follow-up and exceptional patient experience.
 - Identify appropriate study opportunities for interested volunteers based on your knowledge of clinical trials.
 - Problem-solve and create contingency plans to optimize enrollment, demonstrating proactive and flexible thinking.
 - Effectively communicate the importance of research participation to volunteers, building positive rapport and ensuring consistent follow-up.
 - Strive to meet personal and team targets, contributing to the overall success of the team.
 - Work in strict confidentiality across all forms of communication, maintaining high-quality and accurate work.
 - Organize your workload to ensure effective delivery of delegated tasks and projects, demonstrating self-motivation and IT literacy.
 
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication - written and verbal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients and stakeholders.
 - Experience in marketing or sales, which will be considered an asset, though not mandatory.
 - The ability to think creatively for out-of-the-box ideas on marketing and research promotion.
 - Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner, providing an exceptional patient experience.
 - Pro-active, flexible, and able to multi-task, with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
 - The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, maintaining a high level of productivity.
 - Self-motivation and a business curiosity that encompasses ICON's values.
 - IT literacy and a basic understanding of medical terminology, though not essential, would be beneficial.
