Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Resource Scheduler (PRS) to support our federal project management team. As a PRS, you will play a critical role in maintaining a high-level master schedule for all projects and resource assignments, ensuring compliance with USDA CEC and IOD processes and regulations. Your expertise will enable accurate metrics for resource usage, work forecasts, and project progress, driving informed decision-making and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the master schedule of all projects and resource assignments for the division, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with the federal project management team to track resource allocation and project timelines, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Produce and manage accurate metrics related to resource usage, work forecasts, and project progress, providing actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Integrate cost and schedule data, ensuring that baseline change control processes are followed and best practices are applied.
  • Conduct monthly schedule status reviews and provide reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Perform Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) and critical path method (CPM) analysis, identifying potential risks and opportunities for optimization.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to enhance business operations, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal/external customers to coordinate service area technologies and ensure smooth operations, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.

  • Follow USDA CEC and IOD processes and regulations for all scheduling activities, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.

  • Experience with vendor coordination and service area technologies, along with collaboration and team analysis, with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of Remedy and ServiceNow tools, along with ITIL best practices for service management, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Experience with data analysis, including providing support to the USDA's data analytics team, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Understanding of federal contracting terms, processes, and current regulations, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to be on-call for emergencies and respond promptly to urgent matters, demonstrating a commitment to reliability and responsiveness.

Preferred Qualifications
