Under the general supervision of the Recreation Center Supervisor, you will perform a variety of clerical tasks, provide information and assistance to staff and the public, and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process payments for Recreation Center passes, equipment rentals, and other services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
 - Answer telephone calls, operate the public address system, and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
 - Interact with customers, staff, and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service, resolving issues, and addressing concerns in a timely and effective way.
 - Complete general office functions, such as making reservations, registrations, and performing data entry tasks, to support the operations of the Recreation Center.
 - Perform equipment and facility set-up, as well as post-activity clean-up, to ensure a safe and clean environment for users.
 - Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and the public, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
 - Perform other related job duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
 
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates your ability to provide professional public contact skills. The following qualifications and skills are essential:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in a high school or equivalent educational program.
 - One year of clerical experience is highly desirable, with a focus on customer service, cash handling, and basic office administration.
 - Knowledge of arithmetic and cashiering principles, as well as basic computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
 - Ability to operate a computer, follow oral and written instructions, and perform assigned tasks properly and efficiently.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with people of all ages and backgrounds in a courteous and professional manner.
 - Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, and twist, with the capacity to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and push and/or pull heavy weights on a regular basis.
 - Valid, unexpired CPR and First Aid certifications, as well as a valid Driver's License, are required.
