Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Work on member cases/issues assigned, following and maintaining guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws.
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other items, such as IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff items, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns, maintaining accurate records and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within designated timelines.
  • Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with the vendor to process fund transfers, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED, providing a solid foundation for a career in customer service and banking.
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer/member service experience, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience, highlighting knowledge of banking operations and regulations.
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, demonstrating technical skills and expertise.

Skills and Competencies Required for Success

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), gained through work experience or training and hands-on use.
  • Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, providing a positive and professional experience for customers.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and functioning as an integral part of a team.
  • Strong mathematical calculations and analytical skills, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
