About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Remote Customer Service/Technical Support Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for responding to basic and routine inquiries of a technical nature, including hardware, software, and other designated client products. Your primary goal will be to provide timely and effective solutions to customer problems, ensuring that their experiences with our clients' products and services are positive and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist external users of our clients' technical products or services by answering questions and resolving problems in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner
- Troubleshoot basic and routine technical issues, including hardware, software, networking, and other designated client products
- Utilize customer experience-focused troubleshooting approaches to de-escalate customer concerns and provide effective solutions
- Follow established escalation procedures to resolve technical issues, including making follow-up outbound calls to customers or other parties as needed
- Solve problems that require extensive use of conceptual thinking skills and ensure that service delivered to our customers meets contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Greet customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner, using agreed-upon procedures, and listen attentively to their needs and concerns
- Demonstrate empathy and maximize opportunities to build rapport with customers, while probing for understanding and providing effective solutions
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- One year of related technical experience preferred, with a strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting principles
- A non-Apple, non-Chromebook personal desktop or laptop (bring your own device) with reliable internet connectivity
- Courteous and strong customer service orientation, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, and to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and proficient attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently with minimal supervision, and to demonstrate patience in all customer contact situations
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly valued:
- Relevant technical expertise related to our programs, including working knowledge of hardware, software, networking, data storage, troubleshooting, and repair
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
