We are now seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality datasets that drive our self-driving technology.

What's in Store

As a Database Engineer at blithequark, you will be responsible for building and maintaining large-scale datasets that support our FSD initiatives. Your work will have a direct impact on our overall advancement toward a Self-Driving future. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data collection strategies, ensuring that our datasets are accurate, diverse, and of high quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategies to gather high-quality data from various engineering resources and client fleets
  • Develop training materials to educate data collection teams on securing specific data
  • Train and mentor up to many staff members on data collection techniques and methods
  • Create data examination and filtering techniques to ensure data quality
  • Coordinate the development and testing of assessments to evaluate social enhancements to the tasks you are handling
  • Maintain a tight feedback loop with Data Collection, AI Engineering, and Test teams to ensure new datasets effectively improve Self-Driving capabilities
  • Write data queries to mine data from fleets (Python, JSON-C) and analyze telemetry to measure performance and progress of improving various self-driving tasks
  • Conduct in-vehicle testing to support engineering development
  • Produce reports that convey top issues, release blockers, progress, and next steps for various initiatives

What You'll Bring

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math, or evidence of excellent abilities in a related field
  • Experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Git, Grafana, and ElasticSearch
  • Strong understanding of AI and self-driving fundamentals
  • Excellent working attitude, communication, meticulousness, and cooperation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with high uncertainty; self-starter mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data engineering and infrastructure services
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools
