About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the face of our company, interacting with customers who contact us for a variety of reasons, from helping them find the perfect pet supplies to resolving issues and concerns. You'll be responsible for providing personalized support, thinking critically, and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with customers via phone, email, or chat to provide exceptional customer service and support
- Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution
- Operate with empathy, kindness, and patience, utilizing active listening skills to understand customer concerns and needs
- Collaborate with teammates, managers, and other team members across the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams
- Adapt to changing business needs, shifting schedules, and working overtime as required by the business unit
- Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information, upholding blithequark's commitment to customer privacy
Essential Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) - demonstrated through a written assessment
- Ability to multi-task, navigating multiple systems and tools while maintaining a conversation with customers
- Proficiency in using computers, data entry, and rapid navigation through systems and the internet to support customers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a remote or work-from-home environment
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and customer service software
- A passion for pets and a love for animals (it's a bonus, but not required!)
Technical Requirements
- A dedicated workspace with a reliable wired, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/ 10Mbps+ upload speed)
- A work area that is free from distractions, including background noise that may impact the customer experience
- A computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam will be provided by blithequark
- A cell phone or tablet for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify
