Job Summary

The Senior Data Analyst/Engineer will be responsible for comprehending information needs and prompt organization on mechanical assets, analyzing and examining different informational collections to provide meaningful insights, and developing reports, dashboards, and tools for business clients. You will also be responsible for creating and executing ETL code, ensuring that data loading processes are robust and data quality remains high. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Business Investigators, Business Intelligence Engineers, System Architects, and key business stakeholders to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writes and executes ETL code, primarily complex SQL/NoSQL scripts, with a strong ability to utilize different technologies
  • Analyzes and validates existing schedules and communicates impacts, assisting with data transformation, control, and presentation to clients
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes
  • Supports the Programming team with data analysis and validation, using extensive SQL queries
  • Plans, organizes, executes, monitors, and manages all aspects of the Data Integration System
  • Provides detailed guidance and performs business-related tasks, including Modeling Data Warehouse arrangements in the cloud or on-premise
  • Understands Layered Modeling, Denormalized Data Models, OLAP, and Data Warehousing concepts
  • Defines Data Integration best practices for the data management environment

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, you can have 4 additional years of significant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, in addition to the required work experience. You should also have at least 5 years of active experience in database management systems, ELT/ETL systems, business intelligence tools, defect management, and system testing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Additional years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field
  • Certifications in data management, business intelligence, or related areas
  • Experience with cloud-based data management systems and tools

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in the following skills and competencies:

  • Knowledge and understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Python)
  • Knowledge and understanding of data exchange formats
  • Knowledge and understanding of database design and implementation concepts

  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance concepts
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
