**The Opportunity**
As a Part-Time Chat Customer Service Agent, you'll be the first point of contact for music fans seeking assistance with various services, including ticketing, merchandise purchases, password resets, website assistance, and troubleshooting. Your role will be to provide empathetic, solution-focused support, ensuring that every interaction is a positive one. **Responsibilities**
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:
* Expressing genuine empathy and concern for customers' issues, addressing them as if they were your own
* Answering, evaluating, and prioritizing requests from customers with questions or experiencing problems with services or products
* Identifying high-risk customer situations and escalating them appropriately without hesitation
* Keeping up with multiple chats at a time, accurately documenting all required information and chat details in the ticketing system
* Responding to and resolving open issues in an appropriate timeframe
* Identifying trends related to systems, platforms, and/or customers and escalating them to management
* Multi-tasking using multiple systems, skillfully changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
* Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, remaining positive and professional in all customer interactions
* Flexibility to cross-train as requested
**Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A LOVE of music, with a focus on Pop and Country genres
* 3-5 years of call center chat experience, with technical experience strongly preferred (Zendesk experience is a definite plus)
* The ability to type 30 wpm with 90% accuracy or above consistently
* Strong messaging communication skills, active listening abilities, and the ability to work independently
* A great understanding of text and chat acronyms, excellent grammar, and the ability to use industry-specific lingo
* Previous work-from-home experience is preferred, as is a High School Diploma or equivalent
* A strong understanding of contact center support metrics and the ability to implement actions for improvement
**Hardware/Software Requirements**
To ensure a seamless experience, you'll need:
* Your own computer (laptop or desktop) with a processor of more than 4 cores
* 8GB of RAM on Windows 10 or higher / 10 64 bits
* A screen resolution of 1280x768 or higher, with dual monitors required
* A USB headset
* Up-to-date antivirus software installed on the platform, with a recent scan completed
* A hardwired connection to your router
* A firewall enabled (will be checked prior to allowing login to the system)
**Job Type and Schedule**
This is a Part-Time + On-Call position, with a guaranteed 25 hours per week. Shifts may flex up to 40 hours per week based on client needs and workflow. Shifts vary between 9:00am-6:00pm EST, typically lasting 4-8 hours.
**Pay and Benefits**
As a 1099 contractor, you'll earn $18.00 per hour. Benefits include the opportunity to work from home, with no overnights, weekends, or long hours required.
