Job Summary

The 24 Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the afterschool program at South Dover Elementary School, working closely with the Building Principal, staff, and partners to ensure the program's success. This is a part-time position, working 29 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, and Friday once or twice a month, with additional hours during the summer. The ideal candidate will have experience in 21st Century Programming, tutoring, or teaching elementary school students, and will be able to build and maintain partnerships, seek additional funding sources, and coordinate program activities, staff, and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage attendance, database of students, transportation, data collection, and support registration and recruitment of students
  • Complete all DOE and district required paperwork
  • Organize training, planning, and coaching sessions for staff
  • Create an environment that promotes participation, enthusiasm, positive group interactions, and academic success
  • Oversee the interview process for hiring staff and oversee daily implementation of the program and staff
  • Schedule, select, and facilitate additional activities and special events
  • Act as a liaison for all partnerships
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or District Supervisor

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferably Education or a related field)
  • Previous experience in 21st Century Programming, tutoring, or teaching elementary school students
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships, seek additional funding sources, and coordinate program activities, staff, and resources
  • Reliable, punctual, and prepared to support all staff in the afterschool experience

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Certification in Education or a related field
  • Experience working with elementary school students, particularly in an afterschool setting
  • Knowledge of 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) and grant-funded programs
  • Experience with program management, staff supervision, and budgeting
