Job Summary
As a Research Associate, Healthcare Payment Models, you will work collaboratively with our Health team to support the implementation and evaluation of healthcare service delivery and payment models. You will provide policy research and operations support covering topics such as Medicare, Medicaid, other public health insurance programs, and innovative healthcare delivery and payment models. This is a unique opportunity to work on projects that have a direct impact on healthcare policy and practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide analytic and operational support for the implementation, monitoring, or evaluation of innovative healthcare service delivery and payment models.
 - Apply research methods and techniques to manage and analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
 - Write customized and presentation-quality reports and operating procedures for a variety of audiences.
 - Provide custom technical assistance on complex policies to different audiences.
 - Help with administrative and project management tasks.
 - Write, compile, and edit assigned portions of proposals.
 - Review work products to ensure quality and consistency of content.
 - Foster an environment that embraces diverse perspectives, abilities, racial/ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, gender identities and expressions, educational experiences, and life stories.
 
Essential Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience
- Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related social science field required.
 - OR Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
 - Proposal or report preparation experience.
 - Experience with qualitative or quantitative research methods.
 - Experience collecting and analyzing information from doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers participating in healthcare programs or demonstrations.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare service delivery and payment models.
 - Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques using R, Python, SAS, SQL, SPSS, STATA, Access, Excel, and/or other databases.
