Job Summary
As a Sales Engineer - Flat Glass Industry Expert - Remote, you will be responsible for managing and increasing sales of technical products and solutions to core customers in the flat glass industry. You will work closely with our technical sales team to develop and sustain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our Glass customer base. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, grow, and enhance sales accounts: Develop working relationships with customers, negotiate pricing and agreements, and provide technical support to ensure positive resolution.
 - Solicit sales of new or additional products: Identify new sales opportunities, prepare and present quotations, and set final new prices, margins, and quotations for new products or services.
 - Maintain awareness of competitors' activities: Monitor competitors' efforts and develop countermeasures to beat or contain their activities.
 - Prospect new customers: Identify new sales opportunities and prepare, price, and present quotations.
 - Develop and prepare customer stocking agreements: Create and review agreements with customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
 - Assist with customer accounts receivable issues: Resolve customer accounts receivable issues in a timely and efficient manner.
 - Present internal and customer technical presentations: Deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
 - Meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets: Achieve sales and gross profit targets for assigned territory.
 
Essential Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline, plus five (5) years of interrelated work/sales experience in a technical or process-related industry. Experience within the flat glass industry, and with bending, tempering, or manufacturing flat glass, is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Customer Service: Passion for providing high-level customer service and executing business development activities.
 - Business Acumen: Ability to build relationships and sell technical solutions in an industrial setting.
 - Core Business Skills: Strong critical thinking skills, judgment, and attention to detail and accuracy.
 - Computer/Applications Skills: Proficient computer skills using a variety of software applications systems, including Microsoft Office Products, Power Bi, Visual, and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
 - Knowledge of industry trends and market analysis.
 - Certifications or training in sales, marketing, or technical fields.
