Job Summary

As a Project Manager - Software Development (Customer-Facing) at blithequark, you will oversee and drive the success of our software development projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet customer expectations. Your exceptional leadership skills, deep understanding of software development processes, and strong focus on customer-facing communication and relationship management will be essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and the development team. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Customer-Facing Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle. Understand and articulate client requirements, ensuring alignment between project deliverables and customer expectations. Proactively manage and resolve client issues or concerns while maintaining a positive and professional relationship.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to drive project success. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage productivity and creativity. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members, ensuring clarity on project objectives and tasks.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively. Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and documentation to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

Requirements

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is required.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project management, specifically in software development projects, with a focus on customer-facing communications is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Software Development Methodologies: Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience with project management tools, including JIRA and Trello.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Organizational and Leadership Abilities: Solid organizational and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
