Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of Microsoft Endpoint management/Intune solutions, ensuring seamless integration with the USCG's existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct design sessions for mobile applications, balancing business and technical requirements to inform product roadmap development.
  • Implement system security requirements in accordance with Information Security standards, safeguarding the USCG's IT environment.
  • Work on multi-tier application review, onboarding, and maintenance projects, leveraging your expertise to drive successful outcomes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to evaluate infrastructure and system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise (SME) level knowledge on various mobile and desktop products, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements.
  • Collaborate with application vendors to ensure application compatibility for upgrades and migration projects, serving as a liaison between vendors and IT staff.
  • Schedule upgrades and migrations with users, maintaining change management data and facilitating feedback post-rollout.
  • Create end-user documentation and training material for IT staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Handle incident and service management tasks, logging requests and support calls, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Participate in a rotation for on-call nights and weekend support, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the team's success.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Strong experience in developing, administering, and using Microsoft Intune, with a deep understanding of its capabilities and applications.
  • A Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, a Master's degree and 10 years of experience, or a High School diploma and 16 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proven experience in mobile device management and administration, with a focus on Apple mobile operating systems (iPad/iPhone).
  • Experience with Windows Server administration, demonstrating your ability to work in a diverse IT environment.
  • Familiarity with Mobile Application Vetting (MAV) and Kyryptowire mobile application scanning, highlighting your knowledge of mobile security best practices.
  • Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework, showcasing your ability to adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Proficiency in installing various types of certificates, including Apple Push Notification (APN), Apple VPP Token for Intune, and DoD Root/Intermediate certificates.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining industry-recognized standards.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications can enhance your candidacy:

  • Expert-level troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify client issues and conduct in-depth diagnostics on Microsoft Intune products and services.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and configuring device connectivity, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted system administration methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a desire to instill these practices in yourself and your teammates.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Application Management (MAM), Apple Business Manager (ABM), VPP/DEP, and Android Zero Touch, highlighting your versatility in mobile ecosystem management.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory concepts, such as Kerberos, LDAP, Certificates, and Security Groups, demonstrating your understanding of identity and access management.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and common datacenter infrastructure, showcasing your ability to work in complex IT environments.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for mobile security and separation of corporate and personal priorities, ensuring you can navigate the nuances of mobile device management.
  • Good written documentation skills, with demonstrable experience in documenting systems and procedures.
  • Passion for providing outstanding support for inbound incident tickets, as well as foresight to assess risk and scale.
  • Ability to maintain your skillset up-to-date as products evolve continually, demonstrating your commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with users of varying technical skill levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with some experience leading projects and driving successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the team and across various IT groups and business units.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Identity (Azure Active Directory, AAD Sync, Role-based access control), highlighting your familiarity with cloud-based identity management.
  • Understanding of Certificate and Certificate Chain Authority, demonstrating your grasp of public key infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and ability to create ad-hoc custom reports, showcasing your data analysis skills.
  • Power BI experience, with the ability to leverage data visualization tools to inform business decisions.
  • Azure Administrator Associate certification, although not required, is highly desirable.
