Job Overview: Senior Software Engineer - Ad Tech

As a Senior Software Engineer for the DICK'S Media Network, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of retail advertising. You'll be part of a talented team that's building a scalable, reliable, and effective retail media network that connects brands with enthusiasts and fosters a community bound by a shared love of sport. Your technical expertise and experience will help create tailored moments along the Athlete journey, driving personalized and relevant content across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical solutions that meet the goals of the organization, leveraging first-party data to drive personalized content
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and other engineers to build a world-class retail media network
  • Work across multiple channels, including online, in-store, mobile apps, and third-party platforms
  • Support and mentor a team of technologists, providing guidance and expertise as needed
  • Deliver complex tasks to production, working independently when required, and take initiative to introduce new ideas and projects
  • Understand the business context of the larger domain and how your work contributes to the company's success
  • Continuously learn, experiment, and innovate, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level preferred
  • Over 3 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in relevant technologies
  • Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
  • Strong technical skills, including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, CI/CD, and cloud-native architecture
  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, Google Ad Manager, Adobe Experience Manager, and Salesforce Media Cloud
  • Data-driven approach, with a strong understanding of data and analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, scalability, and reliability
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions and driving innovation
  • Passion for sports and retail, with a deep understanding of the industry and its trends

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package that includes:

  • Targeted pay range: $83,000 - $138,200
