As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to the children, working closely with the team to ensure their needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery of services to service users, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.
- Provide personal care, administer medication, and perform moving and handling tasks as required.
- Support and guide less experienced support workers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to promote a positive and supportive team environment.
- Deputize for the Deputy Manager as needed, demonstrating your ability to take on additional responsibilities and lead the team.
- Work closely with service users within the EBD home, building strong relationships and providing emotional support and guidance.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
- An up-to-date DBS check.
- Experience working in children's residential settings, preferably with a background in supporting young people with EBD.
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a senior support worker role or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and respond to the needs of the service users.
