Position Summary: Driving Excellence in Warehouse Operations

As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be at the forefront of overseeing warehouse activities across our retail stores. This involves supervising a team of warehouse specialists, forklift operators, and order pickers, as well as supporting the Receiving Shipping and Receiving Associate in managing daily delivery schedules tailored to customer and inventory needs. Your contribution will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, fostering a safe and compliant work environment, and driving efficiency in our shipping and receiving processes.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership, Operations, and Efficiency

• Manage the daily work schedule of warehouse employees to enhance the effectiveness of shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Supervise daily warehouse operations, overseeing tasks related to shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control to maintain seamless operations.
• Develop and implement a well-coordinated system for Storage Buy transactions, taking into account inventory levels, customer demand, and shipping logistics to optimize efficiency.
• Ensure the optimal functioning of warehouse equipment through consistent preventive maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity.
• Foster a safe and compliant workplace by adhering to OSHA rules and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
• Educate team members on proper policies and guidelines for daily duties, enhancing their skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
• Address employee inquiries with empathy and understanding, ensuring their satisfaction and retention through effective support and guidance.
• Coordinate between departments to maintain a seamless warehouse operation, promoting interdepartmental collaboration and communication.
• Prepare and manage activity reports to provide management with a detailed view of the company's overall performance and individual departmental or team performance.
• Ensure the accurate and timely transfer of paperwork from the Receiving department to the Inventory Control Specialist, preventing loss or misplacement.
• Rectify discrepancies in shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency in our records.
• Enforce the Examination Plan for Procuring Storage, simplifying inventory control and inspection processes through effective stage product management.
• Emphasize the importance of good storage and inventory rotation practices to ensure product quality, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
• Perform any other responsibilities as instructed by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to evolving needs.

Essential Qualifications: Experience, Skills, and Competencies

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• One to three years of experience as a Shipping and Receiving Associate in a warehouse or distribution center, demonstrating a strong understanding of warehouse operations and shipping/receiving processes.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, develop effective teams, delegate tasks, and ensure proper follow-through and accountability.
• The ability to work harmoniously with colleagues from different units, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Well-developed communication skills in both verbal and written forms, enabling effective communication with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in fundamental arithmetic computations, supporting accurate inventory management and financial transactions.
• Experience in managing and navigating Windows-based computer systems, with the ability to adapt to new software and technologies.
• The capability to perform well in a fast-paced work environment, meeting deadlines proficiently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A willingness to work overtime during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to meeting business needs.

Physical and Sensory Requirements: Ability to Perform Job Duties

This role involves:

• The physical ability to carry, lift, push, pull, or move items weighing up to 60 pounds with occasional frequency and 20-30 pounds frequently, requiring a good level of physical fitness.
• A skill set that includes handling and perceiving objects with precision and sensitivity, supporting accurate and efficient warehouse operations.
• Routine movements, including standing, walking, and reaching, which require minimal effort but are essential for performing job duties effectively.
