About Our Signature Restaurants
Our Signature Restaurants are celebrated for their exceptional cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting atmospheres. As a Sous Chef, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, working closely with our Executive Chef and front-of-the-house partners to create a collaborative environment that inspires creativity, teamwork, and ownership. You will be responsible for leading a team of talented chefs and cooks to deliver outstanding culinary experiences that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate exceptional culinary skills, including butchery, saucier, pastry, and modern techniques, to create innovative, seasonally inspired menus that showcase your creativity and attention to detail.
- Leadership: Build and lead high-performing culinary teams through trust, collaboration, and education, fostering a positive and inclusive kitchen environment that encourages excellence and creativity.
- Menu Development: Strategically write and implement menus that reflect our commitment to using high-quality, seasonal ingredients and showcase your knowledge of various cuisine styles, including French, Spanish, Italian, Mediterranean, American regional, and Asian.
- Cost Management: Effectively manage food costs, kitchen labor, and other operational expenses to ensure the financial success of our Signature Restaurants.
- Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with fellow artisans, farmers, fishmongers, ranchers, and foragers to source the finest ingredients and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Communication: Clearly communicate the vision and standards of our Signature Restaurants to your team, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards a common goal.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of culinary management experience in a fine dining environment, with a proven track record of leadership and culinary excellence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with your team, front-of-the-house partners, and other stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with Excel, to manage costs, track inventory, and analyze data.
- A deep understanding of cost management and the ability to take ownership of restaurant operations.
- Excellent kitchen, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including shifts and days off, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Superior knowledge of quality ingredients, including the ability to execute fine dining cuisine that is both innovative and authentic.
- Understanding of wine pairing and service trends, with the ability to make informed recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary preferences, with the ability to create menus that cater to diverse guest needs.
- Experience in guest service, including bartending and/or serving, to inform your understanding of the front-of-the-house experience.
- A higher level education, such as a degree in culinary arts or a related field.
Education & Training
An Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience is required. We also offer ongoing training and development opportunities to support your growth and success in this role.

- A competitive salary, with a hiring range of $85,000 to $103,400 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications.
