Job Summary

The Strategy & Analytics Consultant plays a critical role in supporting Southwest Airlines' operations by providing research, assessment, and analysis to inform business decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Provide research and assessment of trends to support the development of new strategies, tools, and reports
• Leverage technical skills (SQL, Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, Big Data Concepts) and business data to provide solutions to business requests
• Transform raw data into actionable findings and presentable reports
• Develop and improve models and strategies, including supporting their implementation
• Facilitate and share technical guidance on ideas and topics across the organization
• Conduct analysis using optimization and other available tools to create and examine conditions providing insights into business performance
• Utilize data management tactics that include privacy standards
• Perform additional duties as directed by leaders

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Advanced level experience in data entry, data analysis, and presentation
• Expertise in SQL (Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL) and data manipulation software (Alteryx or similar)
• Highly skilled in detail and data analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Operations, Analytics)
• Experience in Network Planning or Airline Operations
• Familiarity with data visualization software (Tableau or similar)
• Proven experience presenting to senior leaders
