Job Summary
As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders. You will work in a high-production environment, multitasking between patient referrals while maintaining excellent customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Routing questionable prescriptions to pharmacists for completion
 - Making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
 - Providing exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders
 - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and prescription information
 - Working collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care
 
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Prescription Processing: Accurately and efficiently enter patient information, prescription data, and other relevant information into our systems.
 - Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders via phone, email, and other communication channels.
 - Prescription Clarification: Make outbound calls/fax physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes.
 - Patient Referrals: Manage patient referrals, ensuring that patients receive the necessary support and resources.
 - Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless patient care.
 
Additional Responsibilities
- Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all work is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.
 - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance patient care and customer service.
 - Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance knowledge, skills, and competencies.
 
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Verifiable high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
 - Experience: 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
 - Certification: Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA.
 - Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty Pharmacy Experience: Experience working in a specialty pharmacy or mail-order pharmacy setting.
 - Call Center Experience: Experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
 - Prescription Adjudication Experience: Experience with prescription adjudication, including communication with prescribers regarding case status and assessment of prescription claim issues.

- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary range of $17.00 - $27.90 per hour, depending on experience.
