Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Director of Family Programming to join our dynamic team. This national remote leadership role will focus on refining and expanding our program model, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for our families. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the two-generation approach, experience in early childhood education, and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration. This Sr. Director will work closely with our Senior Vice President of Programming and other stakeholders to drive program excellence, equity, and integration across all geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming Team Management:
    • Coach, empower, and support direct reports to implement program strategies and achieve outcomes-based goals.
    • Develop goals and measure progress for direct reports, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
    • Build capacity among programming staff in various geographies, including Family Service Directors, Child Development Directors, Coaches, and teachers.
    • Ensure programming staff meet licensing and safety standards, complete necessary tasks, and make adequate progress toward goals.
    • Co-design and lead professional development for programming teams across geographies, enhancing their skills and capacity for high-quality programming.
  • Program Implementation & Iteration:
    • Champion two-generation program excellence, ensuring family-focused programming that meets intended outcomes and incorporates best practices.
    • Collaborate on continuous improvement of core JP programming, aligning execution with vision, goals, and outcomes.
    • Create and implement programming policies, procedures, and content that improve outcomes and efficiencies across the organization.
    • Develop and integrate curriculum components, creating a seamless JP Family experience.
    • Design scalable, technology-driven systems for operationalizing curriculum, coaching, and data collection.
  • Internal Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with the SVP and Sr. Director of Family Programming to coordinate and make key decisions regarding programming.
    • Communicate program strategy clearly and in alignment with the overall mission to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Foster collaboration with various individuals across the national Campus Support Team and local geographies, ensuring stakeholders feel seen, heard, and supported.
  • Leadership:
    • Serve as a thought leader and standard-bearer for engaging with moms, children, staff, and other stakeholders, modeling equity and excellence.
    • Advance racial equity and inclusion through decision-making, policies, and practices.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Program Evaluation, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of programming experience, demonstrating progression of responsibility and scope over time, with an emphasis on managing at a national, multi-site organization with high complexity.
  • At least 2 years of experience directly working with human services/social work/coaching/college access and in early childhood education.
  • At least 2 years of managing 2 direct reports with strong measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across a range of stakeholders.
  • High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, especially when working across lines of difference.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a high volume of work efficiently.
  • Proficiency in conducting data analysis and utilizing data-driven decision-making.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative environment and provide a high level of customer service.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Passion for the Jeremiah Program mission and values.
  • Willingness to travel to our geographies every 4-6 weeks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lived experience and/or proximity to parenting, whether as a parent, foster parent, kinship family, or other.
  • Residency in Fargo, Baltimore, or Austin areas.
