Job Summary
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our manufacturing assets, auxiliary systems, and infrastructure support. As a technical leader, you'll develop and manage an electro-mechanical maintenance and repair workforce, driving project management, budget planning, and process improvements. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance and project management of equipment, machinery, facilities, and systems, ensuring established costs, safety, and delivery commitments are met.
 - Develop, monitor, and control capital and maintenance budgets, including expenses and labor, to maintain profitable operations.
 - Oversee the preventative maintenance (PM) program and operational assessment, driving continuous improvement and cost savings.
 - Manage a team of electro-mechanical technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and coaching to ensure a skilled and competent workforce.
 - Analyze and resolve work problems, troubleshoot unusual or difficult issues, and implement process improvements.
 - Ensure a safe working environment, interpreting company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety.
 - Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance team performance and asset reliability.
 - Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Safety, to drive business outcomes.
 
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of 7 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 - Formal Technical School Training in an electro-mechanical or related field.
 - Proven experience in managing electro-mechanical maintenance and repair teams, with a strong understanding of technical principles and practices.
 - Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
 - Proficiency in Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, and Internet software.
 - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, synthesizing complex or diverse information.
 - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
 
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome candidates with:
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
 - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
 - Certifications in electro-mechanical maintenance, such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Professional in Maintenance and Reliability (CPMR).
