Job Description MEDICAID REFERENCE FILE ANALYST (candidate must be commutable to Austin TX) (Hybrid WFH available) Essential Functions This position is responsible for processing the Medicaid regulations and program changes. Work on the development, testing and implementation of program policies, business processes, system configuration changes, and pricing updates. • Translate business and technical rules into a formal BRD and/or RTM to work with the IT team on system design and configurations • Create, maintain, and update reference tables with varying Federal Financial Participation (FFP) rates (e.g., procedure or combinations of procedures, modifier or combinations of modifiers, and other indicators used for identifying TPL cases) • Update all reimbursement rates and Services by program specific guidelines • Assist in validating all system configurations to verify requirements have been successfully met, collecting, and entering Medicaid data in databases and maintaining accurate records • Compile and verify accuracy and sorting of information to prepare source data for data entry • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities and validate output Experience: Essential data entry skills, 2 years of Medicaid coding experience preferred, an eye for detail, and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), or the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred Organizational skills and strong communication skills Medicaid billing process knowledge Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent Req Adept in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) • Ability to carry out moderate analysis and information gathering to resolve problems on non-routine matters. • General knowledge of company products and pharmaceutical industry or field specific to a major function.
