Strategic Projects Coordinator
About the position
Responsibilities
• Coordinate/project manage DOHMH's work with the Preparedness & Recovery Institute (a partnership with the CUNY and Columbia Schools of Public Health), including tracking deliverables, preparing for meetings and working sessions, and liaising with both DOHMH and external stakeholders
• Support the development and continued operations of OEPR workforce development programs, including but not limited to an internal Fellowship program
• Support the development of new strategic projects for the Deputy Commissioner's office, including the development of new Mutual Aid protocols to guide DOHMH's work with other jurisdictions in emergencies and other projects in the Strategy and Program Development portfolio
• Assist the Director of Strategy & Program Development with the coordination and implementation of Response Ready, an Agency-wide strategic initiative to build readiness across DOHMH
• Support the Director of Policy and Communications on high-priority policy and legislative asks
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience working in fields related to public health, emergency preparedness and response or related field for 1 year.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information.
• Experience with data collection, analysis and interpretation.

• Experience working with the public health sector and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
• Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
