Job Summary

As a Senior Manager, Data Science, you'll lead a team of data scientists and analysts in developing and implementing analytics applications and models that transform data into actionable insights. You'll drive business growth by creating targeting, measurement, and optimization solutions for key advertising partners, and oversee the development of advanced models that identify data patterns and trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a Data Science team in producing business intelligence through the creation of targeting, measurement, and optimization solutions for key advertising partners.
  • Oversee the development of advanced models, including media mix, propensity, and attribution, to identify data patterns and trends, and deliver insights to enable optimization of media investments.
  • Evaluate and implement new analytic solutions and technologies to drive increased agility and performance, and create business intelligence tools and systems.
  • Utilize data-oriented programming languages and visualization software to explore, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms and solve complex business problems.
  • Visualize and interpret data, create reports, manipulate data using statistical software, and compare models using statistical performance metrics.
  • Engage with key AdTech platforms and partners to define requirements and develop analytic solutions to generate business, financial, or economic data, and manage timely flow of business intelligence information.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Digital, and Partner Management, to address evolving analytic and measurement needs.
  • Interpret statistical results, business intelligence, and trend data, and present to various audiences to inform business decisions and support recommendations for action.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Essential Qualifications

  • A Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience in each of the following:
    • Leading a team providing data analytics within the retail and/or healthcare industries.
    • R, SQL, or Python programming languages.
    • "Big data" platforms, including Hadoop (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
    • Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles.
    • Digital advertising ecosystem, including channels, technologies, and measurement.
    • Statistical concepts and advanced analytic techniques, such as marketing mix, predictive modeling, clustering and segmentation, A/B testing, and ROI measurement.
    • Measuring and optimizing marketing spend efficiency in the digital ecosystem for technology organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and customer-centricity.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A base salary range of $160,000 to $230,000 per year.
  • Eligibility for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program.
  • An award target in the company's equity award program.
